Boston, Massachusetts: Welcome/Departure!

I've created this site so that my family and friends can keep up with me overseas! I suspect it will mostly be family members that would care to read this so I will be sure to try to post weekly! Be sure to subscribe so you get an email notification when I post. As you know, I love taking photos (+ have an appreciation for instagram #shameless and architecture!)-- and if you don't have instagram but want to keep up keep up with me on the "InstaFeed" tab of this blog and you can click on the photos #maryinmarylebone. I hope to put several photos on the individual blog posts.

The deets:

Where I'll be studying: University of Westminster in London through CIS Abroad

Where I'll be in London: Marylebone area
Marylebone is a chic residential area with a village feel, centered on the independent boutiques and smart restaurants of Marylebone High Street. Tourists queue for the Madame Tussauds waxwork museum and the Sherlock Holmes Museum, the latter in the fictional sleuth’s home at 221b Baker Street. The Georgian mansion that houses the Wallace Collection of art and period furnishings typifies the area's elegant architecture. (s/o to Wikipedia for this lovely description)

How long I'll be there: Mid January to end of May (Spring Semester 2019)

Classes I'm taking: Retail Marketing, Contemporary Issues in Tourism, & Social Media for Business

Why I'm studying abroad: I don't want to pass up on such a fortunate opportunity while I have time, great health, and few responsibilities! Plus, I absolutely adored London when I visited for the first time in Summer 2017.

How to reach me: WhatsApp, Facetime/imessage, Facebook, Instagram, my UK # (reach out to me!)

Notes: Flew Delta and had no seat mate! Bag was also exactly 50 pounds (miracle).

Currently sitting in LHR waiting for my airport pickup through CIS at "Giraffe Stop".

PS the format of this post makes me sad hopefully I'll learn how to "blog" and maybe improve some HTML skills hehe
