Dublin, Ireland: Feb 14

I took a 9am very brief flight from Stansted to Dublin. I took the train to the airport from Liverpool street and my flight was easy. Once at the airport I took an AirCoach bus to UCD for 15 euro round trip. For anyone who doesn't know my boyfriend Adam is doing a semester abroad at University College Dublin so I got to see his "home"! His campus was lovely and reminded me of UMASS because there was a campus pond and a mix of super ugly old buildings and super new sleek buildings- it's like we never left Amherst ;)

We hung out and he showed me his campus and then we took the bus to his campus to downtown Dublin. It costs 3euro and is about a 25 minute ride but it really wasn't too bad. That night we explored the famous Temple Bar area and had a fatttt burger that night at a place called Smokin Bones. It was great fun! We had plenty to eat and drink but got back around midnight so that we could wake up bright and early for our bus to Galway the next AM.

Takeaways:
-Dublin - sooo small compared to London it was apparent so fast
-Tried Guinness for the first time! I like it :)  I think because it has a bit of a coffee flavor
